Dear Kingstree Residents,

As spring is approaching, the Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors would like to remind everyone that lawn and home violations will be back on the inspection list.

These violations include, but are not limited to:

HOME VIOLATIONS

  • Pressure washing of the home

  • Siding repairs

  • Painting of wood trim

  • Painting of front doors and shutters

  • Garage doors in need of repair

  • Mailboxes that need repaired or painted

LAWN VIOLATIONS

  • Regular maintenance of grass

  • Excessive weeds

  • Bald spots in grass

  • Shrub trimming

They will continue to look for the standard year-round violations that include, but are not limited to:

  • Trash cans and recycle bins stored in view of the street

  • Parking on the grass

  • Parking on private street

  • Trailers

  • Work Vehicles

  • Visible personal items - Items stored improperly on the porch, lawn and/or driveway

  • For Lease or For Rent signs displayed anywhere on the property or common area

If you are renting your home, it is your responsibility to ensure that your tenants comply, or you – as the owner – could face fines of up to $100 per day. The goal of the Board is not to punish anyone, it is to gain compliance with the Governing Documents of the Association.
